Our hot water heater is new and had been turned down so that our showers were cold on the hottest setting.  So I spent about an hour in the basement trying to adjust it.  I felt like everything had a label that said &#8220;If you touch this, you will probably die.&#8221;  So I was pretty careful and switched two sets of breakers first.  Then I took off the outer cover, two layers of insullation, and fiddled with the six knobs.  I could do it now in 10 minutes, but this was intense because I was reading everything and scared of electric shock and death from scalding.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it&#8217;s off to the MA distribution center for my first day of training as a postman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I fixed something.
