Jill and I have also read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0395977894\/qid=1109365916\/sr=8-2\/ref=pd_bbs_2\/102-8362220-2680148?v=glance&#038;s=books&#038;n=507846\">Fast Food Nation<\/a> which is about much the same thing &#8211; the epedemic of obesity in America and the causes of it.  The movie was pretty good, although we could have done without the guy&#8217;s girlfriend describing their sex life in detail.<\/p>\n<p>The part about the schools&#8217; connection with the fast food companies would be enough to home school my kids, if I had any.  It&#8217;s amazing what kids eat for lunch.  Also, ever since reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0688178057\/qid=1109366370\/sr=2-1\/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1\/102-8362220-2680148\">Culture Jam<\/a>, I have become sensitive to advertisements of any kind (probably overly so &#8211; I make Jill mute all the TV commercials now).  I could imagine walking into a school and seeing McD. signs and logos and ads everywhere.  It&#8217;s really not a wonder America is the fattest nation in the world!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just watched this movie.
