Lovely.<\/p>\n<p>When we got back to the road, we find a Harvard cop behind our car with lights blazing.  He told me it was sticking out in the road.  Our car was partially in the road, but that&#8217;s because there was no parking at the trailhead, and not enough room to pull off more than we did.  I was certainly parked further off the road than most landscaping trucks I see everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>So then another cop pulls up with lights blazing (because I guess they called in backup).  Cop #2 informs me in a very serious voice that we&#8217;re in violation of Harvard law, which states that no one may park in a way that obstructs traffic in ANY WAY.  If we hadn&#8217;t shown up when we did, he would have towed us ($300) plus a citation.  He said we were lucky.<\/p>\n<p>So tell your friends, and make sure to call the police if ANYONE is parked on any part of the road in Harvard.
