I wanted to use up some plain cheerios that didn&#8217;t seem to get eaten in our house.  Lately I have enjoyed making oat flour as a white flour substitute by just putting oats in the blender, so I wondered if I could do the same with cheerios, which are oat based.  I found this recipe <a href=\"https:\/\/thefoodieeats.com\/healthy-breakfast-cookies\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">for these cookies<\/a> and just modified them a little bit to suit what I had in my kitchen. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theholtsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/cheer.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5819\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/theholtsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/cheer-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"cheer\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We brought them on the camping trip, and they were at least a hit among us Moms. They are dairy free, gluten free, and the only sugar is from honey, so they are a great low-sugar cookie to keep on hand!  \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nCheeri Breakfast Cookies<\/strong><br \/>\n2.5 cups oats<br \/>\n4 cups cheerios<br \/>\n1\/4 c. coconut oil (or any oil type)<br \/>\n1\/2 c. peanut butter<br \/>\n1\/3 &#8211; 2\/3 c. honey<br \/>\n1 mashed banana<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n1 t. vanilla<br \/>\n1\/2 t baking soda<br \/>\n1\/2 t. salt<br \/>\nhandful or two of cranberries<\/p>\n<p>Put the oats and cheerios in blender and chop them up fine.  Mix all the wet ingredients together. Incorporate all.  Make balls and flatten them a little bit.
