<\/p>\nI have received three essays! Alas, I did not judge impartially. My best friend Nate was here Friday night for the LAN party and I found out he had been wanting one of these things since forever, always on the cusp of buying one. If you could have seen the look on his face!<\/p>\n
Nate DID write an essay, and it’s good, but my mind was pretty much made up before he wrote it. With written and verbal apologies to my other contestants, I gave the ipod to him. Neither of them were mad, but I felt bad about getting their hopes up. I suppose I should be more careful before posting that kind of contest on my site! My only excuse is the wording I used – “…will be seriously considered.” Still, I should have been more careful about posting that.<\/p>\n

If I had had the camera, I would have taken pictures of Nate opening the package. It was priceless.<\/p>\n
