Save O Lord for the godly one is gone
for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man

Everyone utters lies to his neighbor
with flattering lips and a double heart they speak


May the Lord cut off all flattering lips
the tongue that makes great boasts

those who say With our tongue we will prevail
our lips are with us who is master over us?


Because the poor are plundered because the needy groan
I will now arise says the Lord
I will place him in the safety for which he longs

The words of the Lord are pure words
like silver refined in a furnace on the ground
purified seven times


You O Lord will keep them
you will guard us from this generation forever

On every side the wicked prowl
as vileness is exalted among the children of man





The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof
the world and those who dwell therein

for he has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers

He who has clean hands and a pure heart
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully

Transgression speaks to the wicked
deep in his heart
there is no fear of God
before his eyes

For he flatters himself in his own eyes
that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated

The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit
he has ceased to act wisely and do good

He plots trouble while on his bed
he sets himself in a way that is not good
he does not reject evil

Your steadfast love O Lord extends to the heavens
your faithfulness to the clouds

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God
your judgments are like the great deep
man and beast you save O Lord


How precious is your steadfast love O God
The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings

They feast on the abundance of your house
and you give them drink from the river of your delights

For with you is the fountain of life
in your light do we see light

Oh continue your steadfast love to those who know you
and your righteousness to the upright of heart

Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me
nor the hand of the wicked drive me away

We have thought on your steadfast love O God
in the midst of your temple
As your name O God
so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth
Your right hand is filled with righteousness
Let Mount Zion be glad
Let the daughters of Judah rejoice
because of your judgments

Walk about Zion go around her
number her towers
consider well her ramparts
go through her citadels
that you may tell the next generation
that this is God
our God forever and ever
He will guide us forever
