More Computer Woes and Matthew Webb

This week has seen my computer yet again sick and in the shoppe. I just got finished installing my UPS (a device to ensure constant power in the event of an outage) and my hard drive was yet again corrupted, the fourth time in as many months. It was the NEW hard drive too. So they decided it was the power supply and possibly the logic board, both of which they’re replacing for free. Had the computer not been under warranty, the repairs would have cost $1,400. Hopefully they can save my data this time, although I’ve been getting good at backups.

In other news, Jill and I are reading “The Crossing” (well she’s reading Harry Potter, but I’m reading this to her). It’s about the first man to swim the English Channel, Matthew Webb. You can see more details here.
