I stumbled upon Louis Armstrong’s version of “West End Blues” from 1928:
I decided to transcribe the chords. I have a student who is very interested in the blues, and I thought this would sufficiently scare him (and also teach him something). Also, it was a personal challenge to figure it out accurately. Some chords I even had to guess at. The bass is hard to hear, and sometimes the rest of the band doesn’t fill in the entire chords. Despite that I pieced together a pretty accurate transcription. I’m pretty proud of it!
