Dining in Boxborough

I’m playing the Phantom Gourmet tonight! We went to check out the “Minuteman Grill” at the Boxborough Holiday Inn. We had a buy one get one coupon for dinner and thought we couldn’t go wrong. Well….after waiting several minutes to be seated and listening to Alice in Chains loudly from the jukebox we got out seat. The dining area is very pretty and redone nicely (not fitting the the music at all). But they soon dimmed the lights and changed the tunes. I then opened my menu to find blank pages! Sharing Ben’s menu I found entrees that were $17 – $20 and were very average meals. We gave our order after several “Whats that?” in trying to communicate with the foreign waiter. My house salad consisted of lettuce with 1, count it 1, cucumber slice!!!! 2 slices of tomato, and 3 olives. I think they were learning how to count in the kitchen…. After finishing my lettuce I recieved my alfredo & artichoke pasta dish. Swimming in sauce, I only found about 5 artichoke pieces, you know the ones at the very end of the artichoke? That was them. Ben was pleased with the size of the shrimp, but his was rather swiming also. We passed on coffee and desert and came home. Overall, I give it a 30/100. Next time, we’ll drive the same difference the other way and hit Not Your Average Joes.
