I’ve been obsessively working on a new site design for christianfictionreview.com. My friend Tim in TX runs it, but he creates new HTML pages every single time he does a review. Yuck. Enter SQL + PHP! I’m re-desigining the site from the ground up with a database backend for easy searching and updates. Other people make thousands of dollars for this kind of thing 🙂 but I’ll have to content myself with a job well done!
As a funny aside, tonight in our small group our friend Tony made two jokes within 20 seconds that only I got. The first had to do with “ennui”, the French word for boredom. After no one got that, he mumbled “kill dash 9 that” and I bust up laughing. Needless to say, no one in the room knew what he was talking about except me. Unix jokes are awesome.
