My friend Dan was in my wedding, and we go back to high school (I wish it was further back than that, but I had no friends until then anyway). He’s a great guy, and he’s marrying a wonderful girl. I get to play during the reception, even though I’m kinda nervous about it. Guess I just have to practice more.
Anyway this week was their shower, and Jill and I met some folks from Dan’s college and generally hung out. Dan’s family is quite amazing. The kind of family that makes you wish your family wasn’t broken up. Just spending time with them gives you a sense of what the church community should be like – a taste of heaven in many ways. It’s hard to explain 🙂
Too bad Dan’s moving to stupid Washington DC. I wish he could stay here.
