As a kid I *always* got excited about hurricanes. The power will be off! We’ll play creatively! We’ll listen to the rain the and wind! I’ve never been on the catastrophic end of the hurricanes, so I have always had fun with them. I realize that for many people the effects are devastating and I grieve for their loss.
Here in MA we lost power for 4 hours, which was ideal. There were no technology distractions to distract us as a family. We had such quality time together! Candlelight dinner….fort making….lincoln log houses….and playing outside in the rain! It was one of the best days for my happy heart. 🙂
Just before the hurricane arrived, Alice had fun at her first “papade”, the Woburn Parade! We had a fun trip with family.
And, while some towns postponed Halloween, the Holt family headed out! Ninja, pumpkin, drumming butterfly, oh my!
