December Joy

First, it is true. We are official cardboard-a-holics. It is in my genes. We save boxes and we reuse them for all sorts of things. We recently made a “toddler house” for cousin Jakob. We made openings, a mailbox with mail, and a diaper roof. We also had a grand ol’ time making a house for the calico critters, and this little stable whose set-up appeared in the living room like this. So fun!

Part of our advent goings ons is that we like to do acts of giving. Top favorites so far have been leaving a cupcake for our “mail girl”, and quarters of love in the laundry room. It really is more blessed to give than to receive. I love seeing the joy that comes out of that.

And the joy of visiting! A visit with “Great Helen”, and a visit to see Pop after having his hip replaced.

And lastly, the joy of a family Christmas party, complete with legos, Magic the Gathering, boardgames and yumminess!
