Busy But Successful

The guitar presentations went well.  Some of the duets were a bit off, and I didn’t say anything to the audience (someone introduced us), but overall it went really well.  One of my students played a great rendition of “Iron Man” with lots of distortion.  The students all thought it was really cool, just hoping the parents did too 🙂  Before the show was really hectic – trying to get them all together, tuned up, dealing with broken strings, last minute practicing, getting on and off stage quickly, and handing out encouragement!  Here’s a few pix:

Tonight Jill and I rushed off to Townsend’s 275th anniversary town fair-type of event.  On the positive side, the show went great.  I played well with only a few mistakes.  We saw many of the same people/bands that were at the last show I played in that Mike got me into.  On the negative side, there were only about five people AT the show besides people playing.  Tomorrow we play outside so there should be more interest.

  1. It’s a cute little auditorium. It’s amazing we didn’t short out the circuits with all that stuff up there.

  2. Oh memories! That is my high school auditorium!
