I’m happy to report that I’ve made progress! For a while there I thought I would never get the hang of this. I guess Ben’s “forcing” me to do a route on the highway was a good thing. I was sweating my barnacles off and quite scarred and nervous, but in the end…I DID IT! I was proud (isn’t anyone going to give me a token for this?) and was glad I was made to do so. 🙂 So, a few days ago I practiced some of our local roads on my own. I went at 7:30 am so that I wouldn’t run into many other cars! Then, this past weekend, I went to my friends house, then over to Merrills house, and back home! Woo-hoo! I did pretty good. Still have LOTS of practicing I need to do, but I think I’ve made it over the hump. 
Grandad, are you out there? We hear you just got a beetle 🙂 Is it a standard too? Thinkin’ of you!
