One More Thing

The messages at church these past two weeks have been incredible. One was on being single and the other being married. However, both were applicable to either situation. That’s what made them great. You don’t have to be married to be told that pornography is destructive, and you don’t have to be single to learn about being content with what you have. Timeless, valuable principles that we need to hear over and over and work on constantly. The minute you think you have something like lust licked, well, you don’t. Not if you’re of the male persuasion, anyway.

If you want to listen to these, email me and I’ll send you a link.’

We just watched Hotel Rwanda tonight, as I’m recovering (see below). It’s a true story about a hotel manager who takes care of people during the genocide in Rwanda during the 1990’s. Quite moving. One of those movies that you ask at the end, “How can people be so cruel?” and “Why does God allow this to go on?” Like The Pianist. Like Schindler’s List, although not as graphic.

  1. We saw that in the theater a few months ago. I remember walking out of the theater and into a lobby full of scantily clad teenagers and I just wanted to yell at them for being so materialistic… and then I wanted to drag them in to see HR instead of the insipid, violent movie they were planning on seeing.

    I’m glad you liked it.
