Some good music came out of 1964. Like this song! It is funny that today many women probably get up in arms over this song… but the song rings with truth and good advice! We live in an age where marriages are not lasting long, where long-term fidelity is becoming rare. Wives, our husbands have pledged to be faithful to us and have eyes only for us… so remember to put effort into being their lovers, too! We forget this! Some women get very defensive when this comes up. Remember that your marriage is the foundation of your family, not the parental role. A solid marriage will bless your children, but a broken marriage is devastating for kids. So it’s a friendly reminder, ladies, to remember the opportunity we have to bless our husbands by being a wife and a lover! 😀
