I just finished the book “Smashed” by Koren Zailckas , and I thought it was great! I first became interested in the book because I went to school with Koren. She was a year under me, and i was curious about what kind of writer she was. Well, she is really an excellent writer – great style, great humor, great honesty. It is not an uplifting tale, but one that has many insights about growing up as a girl in our culture. It also gives a much needed warning to parents and everyone about the seriousness of alcohol abuse in our culture. Worth the read. 🙂
